About Us 国际微无创医学会简介

The International Society of Minimally Invasive and Virtual Surgery (ISMIVS, previously known as International Society of Minimally Invasive and Noninvasive Medicine) was founded in July 2013 at the gala of the 1st Yangtze International Summit of Minimally Invasive and Noninvasive Medicine in Chongqing, China. ISMIVS envisions to accelerating the progress in minimally invasive and noninvasive medicine by promoting research, education, communication, and international collaboration.
国际微无创医学会(ISMIVS)是在 2013 年 7 月在中国重庆召开的第一届国际微无创医学长江高峰论坛上宣布成立的,旨在通过学术研究、教育、交流以及国际合作加快微无创医学的发展。

In July 2023, the Young ISMIVS Committee was formally established in order to respond to the development trend of minimally invasive and noninvasive medicine, and further consolidate the core group of young physicians.

As the youth force of the new era in the field of minimally invasive and noninvasive medicine, the Young ISMIVS Committee carries the important mission of enlightening medical innovation and leading the development of this field. This panel session brought together leading experts in the field of minimally invasive and non-invasive treatments for breast diseases in China. Through keynote presentations and academic discussions, participants engaged in in-depth exploration of the application and innovation of cutting-edge technologies, such as focused ultrasound, in the treatment of breast diseases.

The session was moderated by Xiao Lixin from Hunan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital; Tan Jiankun, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of Guigang Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Guangxi; Wang Mengyuan, Director of the Breast Center at Chongqing University Affiliated Three Gorges Hospital; and Chen Bo, Director of the Thyroid and Breast Surgery Department at Hubei Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital.

Professor Yang Hongwei, Party Secretary of Suining Central Hospital, began by presenting “The Application of Focused Ultrasound in the Treatment of Breast Diseases.” He provided a systematic overview of the technology’s principles, clinical advantages, and latest research findings, emphasizing its value in delivering precise treatment while preserving breast tissue function.
遂宁市中心医院党委书记杨宏伟教授首先分享了《聚焦超声在乳腺疾病治疗中的应用》,系统介绍了该技术的原理、临床优势及最新研究成果,强调了其在保留乳腺组织功能的同时实现精准治疗的价值。
Professor Wang Haixing, Director of the HIFU Center at Shijiazhuang Maternal and Child Health Hospital, delivered a presentation titled “Focused Ultrasound Therapy for Granulomatous Mastitis.” Drawing on clinical cases, he elaborated in detail on the therapeutic efficacy and key operational points of focused ultrasound for this complex condition, providing important guidance for clinical practice.
石家庄市妇产医院海扶中心主任王海兴教授以《肉芽肿性乳腺炎的聚焦超声治疗》为题,结合临床案例,详细阐述了聚焦超声对这一疑难病症的治疗效果及操作要点,为临床实践提供了重要参考。
Professor Zhang Anqin, Director of the Breast Surgery Department at the Guangdong Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital affiliated with Southern University of Science and Technology, delivered a presentation titled “Exploration of Minimally Invasive and Non-Invasive Treatments Under the Concept of R0 Resection for Breast Cancer.” She proposed an innovative approach that aims to reduce patient trauma and improve quality of life through minimally invasive and non-invasive techniques, while ensuring radical tumor resection.
南方科技大学附属广东省妇幼保健院乳腺科主任张安秦教授发表了题为《乳腺癌 R0 切除理念下微无创治疗探索》的演讲,提出在保证肿瘤根治性切除的前提下,通过微无创技术减少患者创伤、改善生活质量的创新理念。
Professor Li Meifang, Deputy Director of the Breast Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center at the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical College, approached the topic from the perspective of “Optimizing Treatment Strategies for Benign Breast Tumors.” Drawing on evidence-based medicine, she discussed how to develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
赣南医学院第一附属医院乳腺疾病诊疗中心副主任李梅芳教授则从《乳腺良性肿瘤治疗策略的优化》角度出发,结合循证医学证据,探讨了如何为患者制定个性化治疗方案。
Experts including Zhu Jing, Deputy Director of the Breast Department at Foshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital; Shen Haoyuan from Xiaogan Hospital Affiliated to Wuhan University of Science and Technology; and Liang Mengdi from the Breast Center at Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital shared their perspectives on topics such as the standardized application of minimally invasive techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration models, offering new insights for clinical practice.
佛山市妇幼保健院乳腺科副主任朱婧、武汉科技大学附属孝感医院沈浩元、江苏省人民医院乳腺中心梁梦迪等专家就微无创技术的规范化应用、多学科协作模式等议题各抒己见,为临床实践提供了新思路。

Analysis of Pregnancy Outcomes and Influencing Factors in Patients with Uterine Fibroids after High-intensity Focused Ultrasound Ablation

The objective of this study is to analyze factors influencing pregnancy outcomes in patients with uterine fibroids after high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatment.

Patients with uterine fibroids who wished to have children underwent HIFU treatment at Chongqing Haifu Hospital from April 2011 to May 2024 were retrospectively reviewed. HIFU treatment results were evaluated using magnetic resonance imaging, and the postoperative pregnancy outcomes were evaluated.

302 out of 748 (40.4%) patients became pregnant after HIFU, including 88.1% (273/310) in natural and 11.9% (37/310) in assisted reproduction. At the end of follow-up, 273 patients had 281 successful deliveries. No patient had a uterine rupture during pregnancy or delivery after HIFU. Patients with multiple fibroids had a lower probability of conception compared to those with a single fibroid (odds ratio [OR] >1, P < 0.05). A larger NPV ratio was associated with a higher likelihood of pregnancy (OR > 1, P < 0.05). Submucosal fibroids were an independent risk factor for pregnancy compared to subserosal fibroids (OR > 1, P < 0.05). In contrast, intramural or mixed-type fibroids were independent protective factors for pregnancy compared to submucosal fibroids (OR < 1, P < 0.05). A significant difference in NPV ratio and number of fibroids was also observed between patients in the delivery group and the miscarriage group (P < 0.05).

HIFU treatment is safe and effective for patients with uterine fibroids who wish to have a child. Older age, multiple fibroids, submucosal fibroids, and low NPV have negative effects on pregnancy.

Endometriosis and Chronic Endometritis: Shared Mechanisms, Diagnostic Challenges, and Clinical Implications in Infertility

Endometriosis (EM) and chronic endometritis (CE) are both implicated in female infertility, yet the relationship between them remains incompletely understood. In this narrative review, we synthesize non-systematically selected clinical and mechanistic evidence on EM-CE coexistence, with emphasis on infertility-related settings and diagnostic uncertainty. Available studies, largely from selected infertility cohorts, suggest that CE is identified more often in women with EM, raising the possibility that their coexistence reflects a biologically meaningful association rather than incidental overlap.

The two conditions share several abnormalities that may impair reproduction, including persistent inflammation, immune dysregulation, altered cytokine and chemokine signaling, impaired macrophage and natural killer cell function, progesterone resistance, and reduced endometrial receptivity. In addition to the pelvic anatomical distortion and ovarian dysfunction associated with EM, CE may further compromise implantation by impairing decidualization, displacing the window of implantation, and disrupting the local endometrial microenvironment. Both conditions also remain diagnostically challenging.

EM is most reliably confirmed by laparoscopy with histologic verification, whereas CE is generally diagnosed by hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy demonstrating plasma cells. For CE in particular, the lack of standardized diagnostic criteria and uniform CD138 thresholds continues to limit diagnostic consistency.

Emerging imaging techniques, molecular biomarkers, microbiota-based approaches, and artificial intelligence-assisted models remain investigational or adjunctive rather than established tools for routine integrated assessment.

Taken together, the current evidence is hypothesis-generating and supports selective, phenotype-driven consideration of coexisting EM and CE in infertility care rather than routine dual invasive evaluation.

Further studies are required to clarify the mechanisms linking these conditions, define their combined reproductive impact, and determine whether integrated diagnostic and therapeutic strategies can improve fertility outcomes.
